Our group created a questionnaire to help us understand cinema consumers.
We asked 20 random people some film specific questions about personal details and experiences to help us understand what the public thinks and like which will help us determine our target audience.
Here are the questions that we asked in our questionnaire:
- How often do you do go to the cinema?
- How old are you?
- What is your gender?
- What is your ethnicity?
- What is your favorite genre?
- What is your least favorite genre?
Question 2, 6 and 7 were multiple choice but they had an additional section where they can elaborate on their answer.
The questionnaire has helped our group in numerous ways. For example, through the questionnaire we now understand what target audience we should aim for, in our main task. The results show that the consumers who go to the cinema the most are people between the ages of 18-24 years old as they are at a sociable age. This shows that for our main task,we should try to make our opening appealing for audiences between the ages of 18-24 years. Also, in question 6 we have discovered that the consumers top three favorite genres are horror, comedy and thriller consequently, we decided to do a thriller as the majority of the people in our group enjoyed watching thriller movies and they believe that they would be more comfortable doing them, also it was not disliked by anybody in question 7.
