First Time Filming And Editing

I really enjoyed my first time filming and editing. Our task was to to take pictures and film a scenario, using  different camera angles each time. When filming my goal was to understand the full variety of camera angles also, it gives us an idea on what type of camera angles that I could use in my preliminary and main task. It was interesting to see how camera angles can effect the mood and tone of a movie. It was also interesting to see how to set up a camera for filming and using a tripod. I believe that I need to improve on using a tripod as I found it challenging to position the tripod in a area that is suitable for filming, as I had to sometimes redo shots as I positioned myself in the wrong places when filming.

I really enjoyed editing and through this experience I have understood how to change the lighting in the film and the effect that it has on the film. If I brightened the film it creates a happy tone just like in romance movies. However, If I darkened the lighting, it creates a tense atmosphere that you would experience in thriller and horror movies. Overall, I enjoyed editing over filming as it was fun and enjoyable to see the fundamental steps in creating a movie.
